Hospitality connectivity questions

How much bandwidth does a hotel or resort need?

Size against a full house on a holiday weekend, not against average occupancy — the gap between the two is where guest complaints come from. Streaming is the dominant load and it arrives concurrently, so concurrent devices per room matters more than room count. Property systems, cameras, and back-office traffic sit on top of that and should be counted separately rather than absorbed into a guest number.

Should guest Wi-Fi and property systems share a circuit?

They can share the physical connection, but they should not share a path or compete for capacity. Property management, point-of-sale, cameras, and gaming or regulated systems belong on their own logical segments with capacity reserved, so a busy guest network can never affect an operational one. That separation is far cheaper to design in than to retrofit during a peak season.

Can gaming and regulated systems be built for resilience?

Where a genuinely separate physical route exists to the property, yes, and we engineer and document it as diverse. Many resort properties sit at the end of a single route, and where that is the case we say so rather than implying a second path that does not exist — regulators and operations teams are both better served by an accurate picture than an optimistic one.

Does the phone system work with our PMS?

Hosted PBX covers front desk, reservations, room service, and guest-facing operations, and integrates with common property management systems for room status, wake-up calls, and call accounting. Which integration and how deep is a scoping question — worth settling before install, since PMS integration is the part most often discovered late.

Can you reach a remote resort or tribal property?

Frequently, and it is a build rather than a service order. Distance to existing fiber, route, easements, and permitting decide both the timeline and the cost, and on tribal land there is usually a coordination step that is better started early. An availability review gives a real answer for the specific property, including when the economics do not work.
